IFRS 17 agent

Run the scenario.
Understand what drives your IFRS 17 results.

Ask about a reprice, a treaty or an acquisition in plain language. The engine values it on your portfolio in seconds, and every figure traces back to its inputs.

What do you want to know?

Pick a question to watch the agent plan a run, ask for your approval, and explain the result.

Try a question

What you can do

Ask the questions behind every pricing, reinsurance and deal decision.

  • “What if mortality runs 8% above pricing?”

    Assumptions

CSM and loss component by product and channel, against the approved baseline.

  • “Should we reprice or reinsure?”

    Actions

CSM, loss component, and loss recovery for each action, side by side on the same book.

  • “Why is Marine onerous?”

    Review

The contracts and loss ratios behind the loss component, traced to the disclosure.

  • “Check this cash flow file first.”

    Preflight

Missing or inconsistent inputs listed before calculation, so you fix them at the source.

  • “What does this book look like under IFRS 17?”

    Transactions

A day-one view of a target portfolio, scenario by scenario, before you price the deal.

  • “Re-run last quarter on the new model version.”

    Reproduce

A like-for-like comparison, with each difference traced to inputs, assumptions, or model version.

How it works

Each answer is calculated by the engine and explained by the agent.

  1. Ask in plain language

Type the question the way you would ask a colleague. The agent reads the portfolio and works out the scenario, scope, and baseline it needs.

  2. Approve the plan

You see the scenario, the contracts in scope, and the baseline it compares against. The run starts when you approve it.

  3. Run the engine

The deterministic engine values every contract under the full GMM. Every figure you see comes from this run.

  4. See the drivers

The agent explains the result line by line, using only figures the engine produced. Ask a follow-up to dig further.

How to verify

Every balance reconciles from opening to closing.

The engine calculates balances from your portfolio’s cash flows and assumptions. For each balance, you can review the underlying calculation by inspecting the changes from opening to closing.

Meet the team

Together we have nearly 20 years of experience in finance and insurance. At Swiss Re and SCOR, we worked on actuarial models, IFRS 17, solvency valuations, and the finance data foundations.

Now we apply AI to exactly this work. We build an IFRS 17 engine and the agent that helps actuaries and finance teams test assumptions and investigate changes in their results.

How it works with your stack

Keep your system of record.

Adaptive runs next to the IFRS 17 platform you already have. Bring projected cash flows from your actuarial models.

  1. Your actuarial models

    Projected cash flows

  2. Adaptive

    Agent and IFRS 17 engine

  3. Management decisions

    Pricing, reinsurance, and plan changes

What you bring

  • Projected cash flows from your actuarial models
  • The assumptions and mappings your IFRS 17 platform already uses
  • Your accounting policy choices, such as level of aggregation and coverage units

What the engine covers

  • General measurement model for contracts issued and reinsurance held
  • CSM, risk adjustment, loss component, and loss recovery
  • Roll-forwards and the statement of comprehensive income
